The ultimate couples massage guide for Marbella: everything you need to know before booking

A couples massage means two people being massaged in parallel, in the same room, on two tables set up side by side, by two therapists at the same time. You stay together from start to finish — no shared waiting room, no staggered treatment, no separation.

This format has become, in Marbella and Puerto Banús, one of the most sought-after romantic activities: it combines intimacy, letting go and quality treatment in a setting where you have nothing else to do but be together. Ideal for wedding anniversaries, honeymoons, surprise weekends, or simply to mark a stay.

Choosing the venue radically changes the experience. Here are the four formats we offer, from the simplest to the most exclusive:

• Duo cabin at our Nueva Andalucía salon — the simplest and most accessible option, soft lighting and a hushed atmosphere, ideal for a midweek surprise with no logistics
• Hotel suite (Puente Romano, Marbella Club, Don Pepe, Nobu, Anantara Villa Padierna…) — we bring two tables and all the equipment, the treatment happens in your own space
• Private villa (Sierra Blanca, La Zagaleta, Nueva Andalucía, El Madroñal) — set up by the pool, in the living room or in the master suite; a favourite format for wedding anniversaries with a private chef
• Yacht at Puerto Banús Marina — light setup on the aft deck or in a cabin, perfect at sunset

60 minutes remains the most requested duration, but for a couples massage we recommend a minimum of 90 minutes. Why? Because as a couple you want time to settle in, breathe, not watch the clock — the goal is not efficiency, it is the experience.

120 minutes opens the door to a complete protocol (scrub, massage, facial or scalp treatment) — this is our most popular « private spa » format for honeymoons.

• 60 min — discovery, express slot before dinner
• 90 min — recommended format, balance of time and budget
• 120 min — full spa experience, ideal for honeymoons or anniversaries

Most couples choose a relaxing oil massage (Californian or gentle Swedish) — it is the most consensual format and the one best suited to a romantic atmosphere: low lighting, soft music, warm fragrances.

If one of you has a real therapeutic need (locked back, heavy legs after golf), our therapists can mix techniques on the two tables: Californian on one side, targeted deep tissue on the other. Simply mention it when booking.

Marbella rates vary depending on venue and duration. As a guide, count from €180 for 60 minutes in our duo cabin at the salon, and from €260 for 90 minutes in a hotel suite or villa (travel included across the Golden Triangle).

Yacht and La Zagaleta villa formats include a travel/access supplement. For longer stays, we offer degressive packages on 3 sessions or more — the most popular option for our honeymoon clients.

A few simple rules will help you make the most of the moment:

• Plan to arrive 10 minutes early (or finish your preparations before the therapists arrive at home)
• A warm shower beforehand improves the treatment's effect and your comfort
• Avoid a heavy meal or alcohol in the 2 hours before
• Mention allergies, pregnancy or recent surgery when booking
• Tipping is not mandatory but appreciated (10-15 % if you wish)
• Dress code: underwear or undressed under the towel, your choice — your privacy is fully protected by the draping

In high season (June to September, Christmas holidays and Holy Week), late afternoon slots (5pm-7pm) are booked 2 to 3 weeks ahead. For a specific date — a wedding anniversary for instance — anticipate at least one month in advance.

Off-season, flexibility is total: it is often possible to book the same day via WhatsApp, particularly for morning and late morning slots.
